About Us

What To Expect

At Solid Rock Church, you will experience a friendly, Spirit-filled family environment, passionate praise and worship, relevant Biblical preaching, and extraordinary love from people who really care. We understand how nerve-wracking it can be to go to a new church for the first time. Our team will make you and your family feel comfortable. After service, we invite you to meet our Pastor and leadership team to learn more about you.

What Should I Wear

You will see people in everything from casual clothes to business suits at our worship experiences. Typically, most people are a little dressier on Sundays and a little more casual on Wednesdays. It’s not really about what you look like or what you wear. We want you to be comfortable!

Where Do I Park?

Pulling into a new church for the first time can be nerve-wracking. No worries here. We have a large parking lot, and our team is there to make your experience as seamless as possible. Feel free to use our covered drive through to stay dry in sloppy weather, or to drop off your family near the front door. Our building meets ADA accessibility guidelines.

Worship Experience

Each week we are led in worship by our amazing praise team. Our worship is passionate and contagious. Then we have relevant preaching. Pastor Armstrong is known for his sense of humor and practical illustrations of Biblical principles.

Student Ministries

Solid Rock has a fun and safe environment for teenagers to grow and become leaders in their school and community. We have a youth worship service every Wednesday night and youth classes every Sunday morning. There are many other events and trips to keep them busy. We also have a growing young adult group that are involved in monthly activities.

Children's Ministries

We provide an age-appropriate worship experience including music, teaching, and fun! We want kids to know that the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are definitely allowed at church, that worship can be full of loud music and silly dancing, and that they are loved no matter what. Our teachers have background checks for your peace of mind, and parents check their children in and out each week to maximize security.

What We Believe

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is true in all that it teaches. As the flawless Word of God, it is our only authority for what we believe and how we live. 2 Timothy 3:16

God

We believe in one God who is the creator and sustainer of all things. He has revealed Himself to mankind as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit) in the New Testament Church. Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:16

Sin and Salvation

We believe that because of the original sin of Adam and Eve, all of humanity is in a fallen state and in need of salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9

The Gospel and Conversion

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We express our belief in the gospel through our obedience to the gospel. We obey the gospel and apply it to our lives by repenting of our sins (death to sin), being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). This threefold experience is the consistent pattern of conversion in the early church. 1 Corinthians 15.1-4; 2 Thessalonians 1.8; 1 Peter 4.17; Mark 1.15; Acts 15.7; Romans 6.3-4; Acts 2.4, 37-39; 8.9-17; 10.1-48; 19.1-7

The Church

We believe the local church is the hope of the world! The church is called to be one group of people made up of many members; all using their talents and abilities for the cause of Christ. Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 5:20; Hebrews 10:23-25; Acts 2:42-47, 17:6, 1 Peter 2:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26
